A Claude Code skill for mask-driven image inpainting via the RunComfy CLI, enabling object removal, watermark cleanup, and region replacement by routing to Z-Image Turbo Inpainting and instruction-driven edit models.
Overview
Image Inpainting is a Claude Code skill for mask-driven region editing on images via the RunComfy CLI. It routes to Tongyi MAI Z-Image Turbo Inpainting as the default when a binary mask is available, providing dedicated inpainting with mask, strength, and control-scale parameters. When no mask is available and the region must be described in prose, it routes to identity-preserving edit models including Nano Banana 2 Edit, GPT Image 2 Edit, and FLUX Kontext Pro. Use it for object removal, watermark removal, blemish cleanup, and any controlled local edit on still images.
Key Features
- Mask-based precision inpainting - Routes to Z-Image Turbo Inpainting (the default) for precise region edits using a binary mask, with adjustable strength and control-scale for fine-tuned results on object removal, watermark cleanup, and full-region replacement.
- LoRA-enhanced inpainting - Z-Image Turbo Inpainting LoRA variant applies fine-tuned styles during the inpainting process, enabling brand-consistent region edits.
- Description-based fallback - When no mask is available, routes to Nano Banana 2 Edit, GPT Image 2 Edit, or FLUX Kontext Pro for instruction-driven edits described in natural language.
- Multiple model tiers - From open-weights sub-second inpainting (Z-Image) to premium multi-reference editing (GPT Image 2), with the skill selecting the appropriate endpoint based on mask availability and quality requirements.
Who is this for?
- Photographers and designers who need to remove objects, watermarks, or blemishes from images with precise mask-based control
- E-commerce teams doing product photo cleanup and region-specific edits at scale through automated pipelines
- Developers building image editing tools who need a skill that selects the right inpainting model based on whether a mask or text description defines the target region
